The Pinta Island tortoise is the rarest animal in the world. There is ONLY ONE LEFT on Earth. His name is “Lonesome George”. Lonesome George is the last member of the Pinta Island subspecies of Galapagos tortoises. He was discovered in 1972, and brought to the Charles Darwin research station on the island of Santa Cruz. He is roughly 90 to 100 years old !!

World’s longest high-speed rail line opens with speeds of 300kmph

A 1,428-mile high-speed rail line opened in China, making it the world’s longest high-speed rail line. The rail line cuts the train trip by more than half from Beijing to Guangzhou.

The train travels at 186 miles per hour. The line will make 35 stops in major cities and will serve 155 daily trains. Among the stops are the provincial capitals Shijiazhuang, Wuhan and Changsha. The trip from Beijing to Guangzhou usually takes 20 hours but this new trip will cut it down to eight hours, according to The Telegraph.

Tiger Temple, or Wat Pha Luang Ta Bua, is a Theravada Buddhist temple in western Thailand that was founded in 1994 as a forest temple and sanctuary for wild animals, among them several tigers. Guests can engage in other activities with the tigers. These include bottle feeding tiger cubs, exercising adolescent tigers, bathing tigers, hand-feeding tigers and posing with sleeping adult tigers. The tigers are washed and handled by Thai monks.

The birdge is construsted of wood and waterproofoil, the bridge is entirely submerged save for the upper edge which is almost flush with the waterline.
